Fix your vc64loader.dll error

Getting an error message similar to: "C:\PROGRA~2\SearchProtect\SearchProtect\bin\VC64Loader.dll could not be found" / "C:\PROGRA~2\SearchProtect\SearchProtect\bin\VC64Loader.dll is either not designed to run on windows or contains an error." ?

VC64Loader.dll seems to be related to "searchProtect" by Conduit, which is classified as a malware by many security programs.

As far as I can tell, this is technically not a virus, but it does exhibit plenty of malicious traits such as browser hijacking. The industry generally refers to it as a “PUP” or potentially unwanted program.

If "searchProtect" is a program you trust and would like to keep, re-install it with your antivirus blocked.

To remove this error, uninstall "searchprotect" from the control panel.

Reboot computer to see if error is still there. If error is persistent, remove any references to "search protect" in your auto start:

Win XP, VISTA, 7: Press "Windows"-key + "R" to bring up the "Run" dialogue. In "Run" dialogue type "msconfig" and hit Enter Under the tab "Startup", uncheck any boxes relating to these files. Win 8 and 10: Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC at the same time to bring up the Task Manager. Under the tab "Start-up", uncheck any boxes relating to these files. Should you not find any references here to the AgHelp.dll, try the Microsoft program Sysinternals Autoruns. Available for free at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

After removing the program, and stopping it from starting with Windows, check your browsers to make sure this malware has not replaced your start page and / or default search engine.
